Center for Holistic Living

Located in San Luis Obispo County, the Helen & Stuart Over, M.D. Center for Holistic Living, a 501(c)3 non-profit, tax-exempt, publicly-supported, educational organization is operated entirely by volunteers. No one receives a salary.

The Center was founded in 1993 by Stuart Over, MD, Philip Gill, Joanne Crandall, Ann Dobroth, Annette Levey, and Lynne Thurston, all of whom had been supporting Ms. Dantes work at that time. Because she did not want an organization in which everyone followed her, she asked each person to inquire into how they wanted to serve in life. She encouraged the group to found their own organization to serve in the way that they saw was needed in the world. All agreed completely with the idea of offering education balancing attention to all aspects of holistic living, body, mind and spirit, which was exemplified by Ms. Dantes. Dr. Over and Mr. Gill took the lead in organizing the new Center. This principle of giving balanced attention to all aspects of life continues to be the basis for programs at the Center for Holistic Living.

Dr. Over personally applied this principle of holistic living and reversed blockage in his coronary arteries. In addition, he was especially grateful for Ms. Dantes' insights with regard to his wife Helen (read more), and the Center for Holistic Living was dedicated in Helen's memory.

Mr. Gill, like Dr. Over, has repeatedly witnessed the transforming effect on health that results when a person's mind is tranquil and attends equally to all aspects of holistic living. For the past 15 years he has dedicated his life to supporting the educational mission of the Center for Holistic Living.
